From Maria -- When I was living in Ecuador, I wanted to take the opportunity to workshop the characters of teenager Diana and toddler Edi and build their relationship onscreen, so I made a short film focused on those characters on a bus trip. I went through the process of casting Diana and Edi in Ecuador and worked with a crew in Ecuador to make the short. The short film screened around the world and won awards including Best Short Short at Aspen Shortsfest and the Chicago Award at the Chicago International Film Festival.
